Icon Company: Dunkin’ Donuts

More good news concerning corporate responsibility! Dunkin’ Donuts is committing to use eggs produced from cage-free birds in 10% of their breakfast sandwiches by the end of the year. They are also researching the feasibility of transitioning to 100% cage-free eggs.

They are also doing a similar commitment for their pork products. They will purchase from suppliers who do not use gestation crates (crates so small that the animal cannot turn around). Unfortunately they can’t commit to 100%-sourced pork from non-gestation crate suppliers until 2022. Ridiculous, right? And disgusting that so many farms use this horrible method.
