Check this out: Diversity in Film-Making Sucks

Diversity in film casts and film-making is a big deal. Movies and films shape a person more than one might realize. The fact that only 3 black women released movies in 2014, out of 373 total movies that came to theaters, is really pathetic.

“When you allow a variety of people to look through their lens and tell a story through their lens,” director Amma Asante said, “what you get is a more interesting variety of films at your local cinema.”

Congratulations to Ava DuVernay for the Best-Picture Oscar nomination for “Selma“!
