Check this out: The Gather Cafe

Wow, I’m loving this idea! The Gather cafe in Yarmouth, Maine is trying to reduce food waste by inviting patrons to bring the restaurant their farm’s leftover produce to be used at the restaurant and for a discount on a meal.

Doesn’t that just make so much sense?

Of course, it’s not free of challenges for the restaurant, but it’s a brilliant plan to hand over extra produce that would otherwise go to waste.
