Check this out: The #CosmoVotes Campaign

Cosmopolitan Magazine gets a bad reputation for being all about sex (which it’s NOT, by the way!), but this #CosmoVotes campaign goes to show that they’ve got way more up their sleeve.

I was OBSESSED with magazines as a teen and into my twenties. I read every edition from front to back, devouring the majority of the articles. They had a huge influence on me so I know the impact that this voting campaign can have on young voters.

It’s so important to vote WHEN YOU ARE EDUCATED ABOUT THE ELECTION! If you don’t have a clue, don’t even show up. I think it’s so awesome that Cosmo is not only encouraging people to vote, but they are giving specifics on different candidates and platform issues. To me, this is huge.

I really hope this reaches young women deep down so that they begin to internalize the importance of who is in public office and the fact that WE have the power to put that person there.

We Heart: The #CosmoVotes Campaign.
