My boys.

My boys.

Kittens are the cutest. And they grow so fast! This is Tiger, the newest addition to the family. 🙂

Here are some fun articles for you guys. Enjoy!

How We All Miss the Point on School Shootings (Mark Manson) – I am always so impressed by what Mark Manson gets himself into. No topic is off limits. In this post, he brings up the highly controversial school shootings. He does a great job pointing out shootings from the past and noting common threads in the gunman’s behavior. Very interesting read; I believe he makes some great points.

Food Curated: One Tough Cookie (Video by NY Times) – I definitely have a sweet tooth so this video of Gail Dosek making exceptionally beautiful and perfect cookies made my mouth water! And seriously the art behind it is quite incredible also.

Dear Guy Who Just Made My Burrito: (Medium) – Holy shit. If you need something to make you laugh, read this article. Absolutely HILARIOUS. (If you don’t mind strong language, and NO ONE should mind strong language dammit!).

The Four Engines that Accelerate Language and Life (Mark Manson) – I loved this post written by a super interesting guy, Idahosa Ness. He’s got some great wisdom to share and puts it all in a beautifully written and exciting article.

Invisible Child (NY Times) – Wow this 5 part article is intense and so needed for our society. Andrea Elliott digs in deep as she chronicles the life of a young girl who lives in a homeless shelter in New York City. It’s very long, but definitely worth it, even if you only make it through the first part. Your eyes will still be opened…

Libya Travel Warning (US State Department) – Violence in Libya is heating up. This first link is to the US State Department’s travel warning. Here is another in-depth article about the fighting groups. A quote from that article: “Mr al-Zahawi said that the group opposes the interim government and democracy in the country, vowed to fight back and warned the US not to intervene, reminding it ‘of its despicable defeats in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia, and that it will see worse from Libya than what it has seen [so far]’.” Serious stuff.
