Check this out: Composting in New York City

The rest of the cities of the world had better watch out – New York City is ON TOP OF IT!

Here’s another example of how the city is way ahead of the rest of the world – city-wide composting programs. It was rolled out in Bay  Ridge, Brooklyn and now the pilot program is expanding to other parts of Brooklyn and Queens.

So far the program has been really successful and the city hopes to make the program mandatory for all residents in a few years.
