Check this out: Architectural Recycling

Believe it or not, China might be making some headway in sustainable building. Actually it’s a local tradition to use local reclaimed building materials.

This article below is a hodgepodge of information on “Architectural Recycling” and I particularly like the Belgic company Rotor which “bridges the gap between dealers, commissioners, architects and building contractors”. They have created an online inventory of salvaged building materials around Brussels.

Another similar company is Superuse Studios in Holland, who has been creating a “Harvest Map” for 15 years to create a viable alternative to “conventional resource exploitation”.

Let’s make this world-wide!!

Architectural Recycling.
