Check this out: iShacks Improve South African Slums

With a few simple tweaks to the current slum houses created by the government in South Africa, Andreas Keller has reinvented the typical dwelling with clean energy.

Clean energy is important on the broad world scale, but also on the individual level. Cheap energy methods (wood, charcoal, kerosine) is very bad for our lungs and damages the surroundings with soot or moisture, which encourages mold growth.

There are very few drawbacks to his design. Let’s hope it takes hold and is replicated all around the world!
