Check this out: Hong Kong’s Indentured Servants

Asia has a mountain of human rights issues. Every single one needs to be denounced and the only way is through education and pressuring countries to change the laws.

I came across this article published through the New York Times about the large number of Indonesian women who travel to Hong Kong to be domestic workers. The author, Gratiane De Moustier, does a good job explaining why these women could be described as “indentured servants.”

This is a terrible reality for Indonesian women which needs to be addressed by Hong Kong immediately.
