Check this out: Ivory Sales Banned in America

Hallelujah! Some good news from the Obama Administration. 🙂

The Interior Department’s Fish and Wildlife Service announced that it will ban the trade in elephant ivory within the United States by prohibiting all imports and most exports and resales.

This hopefully will help, though we all know there is and has always been a black market for these sorts of banned items.

More education is needed to turn people away from buying ivory. I would also go so far as to fine people who have ivory in their home or possession!

Ivory should no longer be viewed as an item of luxury; it should be looked upon with disdain and at the owner of the ivory with contempt.
