Check this out: Turning Old Dutch Tourist Boats Into Floating Greenhouses

Sustainability at it’s finest.

I am a tad surprised that they are just now creating a business like this, especially coming from the Netherlands, who are very sustainablly-focused.

Apparently they are lacking on the urban farming initiative, so Dutch-native Damian O’Sullivan was inspired to take advantage of the open canals in Amsterdam and an old tourist boat to create the first design of a “Boatanic” – a floating urban greenhouse for growing organic vegetables to be delivered easily to urbanites by boat and bicycle.

His project is still in the idea phase, as he is seeking funding to build the first dream greenhouse. Please contact him if you have any advice or are interested in investing (infoATdamianosullivan.com)! This could seriously be HUGE!
