Check this out: New York City bans Styrofoam!

GREAT news! On December 19, 2013, New York City council voted to ban the use of Styrofoam containers. This includes take out containers and Styrofoam cups. This trash cannot be recycled and sits in landfills for over 500 years. Needless to say, this is a HUGE victory for New York and I hope that other large cities around the world follow suit.

Win! New York City bans Styrofoam : TreeHugger.
