Check this out: Finally Change for Domestic Workers, Though Delayed

You may have heard that the government finally agreed to include domestic workers in the minimum wage and overtime compensation laws. Why it took this long I have NO idea.

Oh but don’t get too excited. The changes don’t go into effect until January 2015. Again, I have NO idea why the ridiculous wait.

But what I am sure of, is in the meantime, domestic workers (especially foreigners) will continue to be underpaid and overworked. No one speaks up for them so it’s prime real estate for abuse. Where is the shame??
