Check this out: Ex-Inmates Work to Recycle Electronics in California

It’s pretty common knowledge that the United States incarcerates more people than any other country in the world. There are a few main reasons for this, and one of them is the difficulty ex-inmates have to re-enter society successfully. Employers rarely offer jobs to ex-inmates.

It’s also common knowledge how much electronic waste Americans dispose of. And the majority of this waste is shipped over seas – sending away jobs, precious recyclable metals, and horribly expanding our carbon footprint and making it someone else’s problem.

This company, Isidore Recycling, is combining these two problems to make the perfect solution.
