Check this out: Big History Course

Bill Gates has partnered with Professor David Christian to make widely available this extensive history course appropriately titled “Big History.” It is first being made available to teachers and will be open to the public towards the end of the year.

David created a framework for understanding literally all of history, ever, from the Big Bang to present day. So often, subjects in science and history are taught one at a time—physics in one class, the rise of civilization in another—but Big History breaks down those barriers. “

My current course in Coursera is similar to this one and I LOVE it. This is literally the first time in my 26 years that I have realized that all of the sciences connect with history (I know, DUH). But we are not taught that in school. It’s great that they are starting now because I think it makes learning more fun and interesting when you can really see how everything works together.

Oooh, sounds interesting. I’d definitely take it when it opens to the public.
